ANNOUNCEMENT
HAPPY NEW YEAR

The winds of change have arrived with the new year.
​
As we embrace the new year, new beginnings, and the inevitability that there will be those who enter Alcoholics Anonymous seeking answers to the questions they have, and hopefully a solution to what they find out, so too am I embracing the gifts that the Spirit of the Universe continues to grant me as I practice these principles to the best of my ability, and willingness. I hope the same for you!

I cannot recall how this site came to be or when it was launched. Perhaps it was born out of a resentment or even restlessness. I do know that over the years it has taken on new looks and has grown in "depth and weight." The sole purpose has always been grounded in carrying the message of Alcoholics Anonymous, and the Hyannis-formatted BBSS meetings that saved not only my life at better than 26 years sober but the lives of those closest to me. The purpose has always been to be of service.

From the start the site was named "Big Book Revealed." Over the years different url's have been picked up, two of which are used specifically for two different studies. With a recent turn of events changes are being made to the site and its purpose deepened. The main url is now bbssonline.com.

From the start the goal has been to be a clear as possible in anything posted on the site being well aware that being a "producer of confusion" would be harmful to not only a newcomer or prospect but to BBSS as a whole.​ From the start the awareness to be of service without stepping on toes has been at the forefront of the purpose of the site.
​
A recent turn of events has inspired the decision to change the name of the site from "Big Book Revealed" to "Big Book Step Study." Over the years the site has moved from a personal repository of sorts to holding the elements of a segment of our society that has saved countless lives in and out of Alcoholics Anonymous. At the start of the new year the folks in Asheville, who always held the "meeting schedule" for all of us, turned their site off. Previous to this they did express that it would happen and suggested that we print out the meeting schedule as it would no longer be available.

Within 24 hours of their site being down the inquiries began to pour in here for info on the meetings and it quickly became impossible to act as a directory through messages, emails, texts, and calls. As a result a painstaking effort was taken to cull all of the information from multiple sources online to create a new meeting schedule. (You will find it here.)

I want to thank you all in advance for being a part of this change and I now need to ask something of you. Please review the meeting schedule. Review the information relevent to your meeting or group to check for discrepancies. If there is an adjustment that needs to happen please send that info to me and I will make the changes as soon as possible. The biggest piece missing on many of the meetings on the schedule is the group's name.

Let's clean this schedule up together and make it easily available for the many who seek a solution to their problems. I thank you with all that is in me!
